The short version
If you use TabDocket for free, your tabs, tasks and notes stay on your computer and are never sent to us. If you subscribe and turn on sync, a copy of that data is stored in our database so your devices can agree with each other. We collect email addresses for accounts and for the mailing list. We do not sell data, and we do not run third-party analytics on extension usage.
Free users: nothing leaves your computer
The free version of the TabDocket extension stores all data — tasks, tabs, URLs, notes, projects, trash and backups — in your browser's local storage on your own machine. It does not send that data to a server, because there is no account and no network call for it to travel on. If you never enable sync, we hold no record of your browsing or your tasks.
Pro users: what sync stores
When you subscribe and enable sync, the extension uploads a copy of your projects, tasks, saved tabs (URL, page title, favicon) and notes to our database, which is hosted on Supabase infrastructure. This copy exists so a second device — or the mobile app — can show the same tasks. Rows are scoped to your account with row-level security, so no other user can read them.
Deletions are recorded as tombstones (a deleted marker) rather than instant removal, so that deleting on one device does not silently wipe data on another. Tombstoned records are purged on a rolling basis.
What else we collect
- Email address — for your account, for login codes, and for the mailing list if you signed up for it. Mailing-list signups do not create an account.
- Billing records — subscription status, plan, renewal date and a payment-provider reference. Card details are handled by Stripe and never reach our servers.
- Support and feedback — the message you send us, and the email address you send it from.
What we don't do
- We do not sell, rent or trade your data.
- We do not run third-party analytics inside the extension, and this website carries no Google Analytics, advertising pixels, or session-recording scripts.
- We do not read your browsing history. We only store the tabs you save to a task.
- We do not use your synced content to train models.
Your rights
You can export everything to a file at any time, on any plan, from the extension or from your account page. You can delete your account and its synced data by emailing support@tabdocket.com. Unsubscribing from the mailing list is one click in any email we send.
Processors we use
Supabase (database, authentication and file storage), Stripe (payments), and an email provider for transactional messages such as login codes and password resets. Each receives only what it needs to do its job.
Changes and contact
If this policy changes in a way that affects what we store, we will say so on the changelog and by email. Questions go to support@tabdocket.com.
